Yext Disrupts at TC50

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Yext returned to TechCrunch50 this year and presented their new offering, the reputation dashboard, which we collaborated with Yext to design. Yext Rep is a new app that monitors and manages local businesses’ reputation activities on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare, as well as customer reviews on Yelp and Citysearch. The Rep app snaps into the Yext dashboard, which includes other services such as Calls. Having developed Yext’s brand identity and visual language, we designed the new dynamic interface for the Yext dashboard and apps.

The Yext team explained that local businesses need quality consumer input online to increase their new business calls. Yext Rep aggregates and displays real-time feeds of customer reviews and messages, providing one central place for business owners to see their latest online buzz. We collaborated with Yext in shaping their startup business in local advertising known as “the next yellow pages.” We designed their web site and developed the Yext brand identity, which was shown at TechCrunch50. Co-founder Howard Lerman presented their latest development, Yext Calls, to a panel of judges including Marissa Mayer, Paul Graham, Roelof Botha, Marc Andreessen, and Tony Hsieh. By the end of the night, Yext had raised $25 million. Watch the video and read more about Yext here.
