A New Slice of Tillamook
Monday, January 31st, 2011As digital agency of record for Tillamook, we’re kicking off the year with a new online destination at Tillamook.com. Tillamook has a 102-year history of creating award-winning dairy products. To capture the brand’s authenticity, we crafted a digital strategy centered on bringing original content and fun engagement to true lovers of Tillamook cheese. After traveling in search of some of the best grilled cheese chefs in the country, we were invited into their kitchens to capture the secrets behind their mouthwatering recipes. With over 30 recipes, Tillamook Kitchen also includes dozens of video recipes from Chefs Tommy Habetz of Bunk Bar in Portland, Dave Danhi of the Grilled Cheese Truck in Los Angeles, and Heidi Gibson, seven-time winner of the Grilled Cheese Invitational, of the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen in San Francisco.

The site runs on Tillamook Time, dynamically changing from breakfast to lunch and dinner recipes based on the time of day. Of course, if your sleeping schedule is turned around or you have funny eating habits, you can still find the other recipes on the site. Fans who want to win Tillamook products can test their cheese knowledge with the Cheese IQ quiz. Leveraging Tillamook’s existing fanbase of over 100,000, we bring a new “Loaf Life” blog connecting all Tillamook lovers to behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and events both online and locally.

Unveiling of “The Broad”
Friday, January 7th, 2011We’ve worked with the Broad Foundation in creating the online destinations for their many programs, including the Broad Art Foundation who just unveiled the designs for their upcoming contemporary art museum “The Broad.” Designed by architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the museum’s honeycomb “veil” exterior and top floor sky-lit gallery will house some of the greatest works in modern art with collections by a few of our favorite artists like Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol, and Roy Lichtenstein. We’re looking forward to paying a visit to the museum in downtown LA upon completion in 2012.
Creative Economy
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010We collaborated with Otis to design their 2010 Creative Economy report with the launch of this year’s program, “The Power of Art and Artists.”
As a pioneer of the industry landscape, Otis is the first institution to release a study that captures the monumental economic influence of the creative industries in Southern California, substantiating the region as a creative capital. The Creative Economy report contains valuable content for creatives like ourselves, as well as students, parents, researchers, and professors. Through it we get a clear sense of the landscape of our industry in a nutshell; highlighting trends and helping newcomers to the industry understand opportunities and challenges. We brought the report to life by presenting the high-level findings in a visually engaging and interactive way. The infographics illustrate how the creative economy impacts the overall business sector with breakdowns within specific industries including digital media, entertainment, fashion, and product design.
More than just a summary of industry facts, the report tells the story of the possibilities and potential within our creative economy.

Herman Miller Store Opens
Wednesday, October 20th, 2010We’re pleased to launch Herman Miller’s online store, the brand’s first direct-to-consumer e-commerce site. In order to give consumers the best possible shopping experience, we created an e-commerce strategy that allows people to directly interact with the Herman Miller brand while shopping.
Along with the product configuration tools customers can play with, users are given the widest range of product options available. The Shop by Room section allows consumers to visualize how Herman Miller products fit into their individual lifestyles, providing product options for a living room, dining room, or office space. For design inspiration, you can visit the Shop by Designer section for all products by the Eames, Nelson, Noguchi or Béhar. We also collaborated with architectural photographer Juergen Nogai, who was Julius Shulman’s partner, in directing a photo shoot of the furniture in inspiring spaces.
Integrated with the overall Herman Miller web experience, the online store is visually driven, giving window-shopping a whole new meaning.
