365/31: AIGA Year in Design Winner

Friday, June 25th, 2010 was selected as one of the 126 winners out of over 2,300 entries submitted to the AIGA 365/31. The selected projects will be showcased at the AIGA National Design Center in New York this September, and travel across the country to AIGA Chapters and student groups next year.

We’re honored to have our work become part of the AIGA Design Archives and anticipate getting our copy of their Design Annual. Congratulations to all who worked on the project.

Graphis Awards: 2 Golds

Graphis just announced the 2011 Design Annual winners, and Hello won two gold awards: one for Hit it Pure, an online game we created for Callaway Golf, and one for Sony Altus, the integrated campaign for the launch of Sony’s wireless music systems. Try to achieve the perfect swing with Hit It Pure, and experience music everywhere, with wires nowhere, on the Sony Altus site.

Hello is pleased to announce that out of thousands of entries, the Herman Miller website we designed and developed has won a merit award from the One Show Interactive, one of the most prestigious awards in advertising. The awards are judged by a panel of leading creatives in the advertising and digital media industry, including Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Wieden + Kennedy, and TBWA.

At the Museums and Web conference last week, the Bauhaus Workshops for Modernity website we designed with the MoMA won a Best of the Web Award. Out of the 12 categories, Bauhaus took home best exhibition site.

We’re winners of the Communication Arts Interactive Annual for the Herman Miller web site! We designed the site as a living system with a modular grid. The site is visually-driven to create an intuitive experience for users to browse, search, find products, and plan or design a space. Communication Arts Interactive winners were selected based on designers who pushed further to produce fantastic work. We’re honored to be included.

Our winners include Herman Miller, designers of world-renowned furniture including the famous Aeron chair, the Hammer Museum, promoters of art diversity in Los Angeles, and You Be The Driver, which puts your F1 racing skills to the test.

Warhol is a SXSW Finalist

The Andy Warhol Foundation site we created has been selected as a SXSW 2010 Web Awards Finalist in the Art category. A People’s Choice Award is also given to the public’s favorite finalist. You can vote for it here.

The SXSW Interactive festival is from March 12-16th in Austin and looks like they have a great lineup of speakers this year with topics like “The Young and the Digital” and “What We Learned Watching Kids with Homemade Flamethrowers.”
